Cumberland Police Arrest LaVale Man on Multiple Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

Cumberland, MD – January 31, 2026 — The Cumberland Police Department reports the arrest of a LaVale man following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
At approximately 4:22 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, a Cumberland Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of East Industrial Boulevard. During the interaction, the driver was identified as Bryan Scott Haller, 38, of LaVale, Maryland.
A police K-9 unit was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Investigators also determined that Haller had attempted to discard drug paraphernalia during the course of the stop.
Haller was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking, where he was later seen by a District Court Commissioner. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
